Dinner on Tuesday night will be at Lambert Estate Winery for a pizza and wine. The cost of attending the dinner is included in your registration fee. The package includes 1 drink on arrival, platters, an assortment of pizzas and dessert – further drinks can be purchased from the bar. If you have any dietary requirements, please specify this in your registration. Although the dinner is optional, it is highly recommended that all pastors attend.

Regrettably, Dr Justine Toh from the Centre for Public Christianity has had to cancel her attendance as Conference Speaker on Tuesday 11th October. Fortunately in Justine’s place we have been able to secure Simon Smart, Executive Director of the Centre for Public Christianity. Simon’s will be taking us through his latest thinking and observations in the topic entitled Good Guests: Public Christianity for a Post-Christian (and anxious) Age. We encourage pastors to think about booking accommodation and making travel arrangements as soon as possible, however, please ensure that you check cancellation policies with your preferred provider as the LCA cannot accept responsibility for cancellation fees and lost payments. You are eligible to have your flights to the closest main airport for GPC (Adelaide – Barossa Valley SA) and General Convention (Melbourne Vic) paid for by the LCA and you are required to use the FCM service. No flight-cost reimbursements will be made to you except in extraordinary circumstances. It is assumed that you will choose the most cost-effective fare for your travel from the flights available on the day that you book.

Please make your bookings as soon as possible and ensure you check COVID related cancellation policies with your bookings. You may wish to delay your booking until closer to the time – but do not delay so much you cannot secure a booking.

Your accommodation, meals and ground transport are your own or your parish’s responsibility.

Your flights, accommodation, meals and ground transport (except if you elect to drive the full distance – see below) are your own or your parish’s responsibility. You are welcome to use FCM to make these arrangements, and you will need to provide a credit card for payment. Please ensure you check COVID related cancellation policies with your bookings. Either call them on 1800 458 949 or use your FCM login – FCM service.

If you are driving to GPC, we encourage you to share travel and carpool with your brother pastors. Reimbursements for those who are eligible (Pastor Delegates to Synod) will be at the standard rate for payment with a car allowance (even if you do not receive a car allowance).

To claim travel reimbursement for GPC through HRS, please lodge a claim through the normal process (please select K4). Please ensure that you list GPC in the notes before finalising your claim – if you don’t your parish will incur the cost.

If your payroll is processed by another provider you will need to lodge an expense claim with the LCA using this this form.

When hiring a car there is no need to pay extra to reduce the amount of the hire company’s excess if it is under $6,000 as the LCA travel policy offers cover for Rental Vehicle Excess up to $6,000. For full details of coverage, policy conditions and exclusions please contact LCA Insurance at insurance@lca.org.au

It is important to know that in the event of a claim, the hirer will need to pay the hire company’s higher excess and seek reimbursement of this via LCA’s Travel policy. Full details of hire agreement, repair costs and accident will need to accompany the appropriate travel claim form.

Please note that no shuttle bus service will be available from Adelaide airport to Tanunda. We strongly encourage pastors to share travel and carpool where possible.
